And be advised that there are variants.  My first SX-28 (a very early 
one, I think) has an RF cage cover smaller than most.  The other main 
difference is a "suicide" style fused plug rather than the chassis 
mounted fuse.

The best SX-28 I never bought was some years ago at the Fort Tuthill 
(Flagstaff, AZ) hamfest.  It was being sold by Lew McCoy from his 
personal collection and was a thing of beauty.  Unfortunately he was 
asking $325 and that would have blown my budget in the first 5 minutes. 
  I found out later he sold it for $300, and Lew was SK within the year. 
  Sure wish I had bought it!  I did have some fascinating discussions 
with Lew and will keep the memory of those.
