[Hallicrafters] NC 270 product detector and VFO

Hi Joe,

I have an NC-270 (and its NC-190 general coverage relative) and they both
seem to do okay on SSB without riding the RF gain.  Does your AGC seem to
work OK on AM signals?  You might try around 3880 or 85 tonight to see if it
seems to overload on all modes.  If not, I would suspect a problem with the
product detector, perhaps low BFO injection.
