Hello, All, This may be a bit off topic, but I'm desperate, so here goes. I have been a collector of Hallicrafters for about 3 years now, and enjoy refurbishing them very much. I have also managed to aquire several pieces of vintage test equipment, Including an Eico signal Generator, & A weston 798 Tube Tester, both essential for repairs & alignment.
The Weston 798 Tube tester has a burned resistor which attaches to the overload Indicator lamp, & is burned so badly, that I cant read the value anymore.
Does anyone have a schematic for A Weston 798 Tube tester, Or owns the tube tester that could check the value of this resistor for me? I've checked with BAMA, & all they have is the Instruction book. I'd really like to get the Weston up & running again, as I have several Vintage Hallicrafters that need a thorough going over. So, If you have the Weston 798, & can pass along the value of the resistor, I would really appreciate it. I have received several E-Mails from others, that are in the same prediciment, & will pass on the info to them as well. Perhaps if you have the schematic, you could post it to BAMA. Thanks for your help.
73's,
Ferdie Golding
