[Hallicrafters] Head Scratcher

Hallicrafters like most manufacturers made mostly General Coverage receivers
with ham band bandspread. The SX-101 was the first with the SX-115 (the
top of the line) and the more modest SX-111 to follow. Once they got into
transceivers and twins
(RX/TX with inject) they went ham band only.

Remember before about 1960 all the manufacturers counted on a heavy volume
of Commercial and SWL sales too.

I have a RME 6900, SX-100, HQ-129X, and Gonset G-76 perking along and have
to do some work on my HQ-120's. The S meter in the SX-100 does not work so
I have an outboard one.
