[Hallicrafters] SX-42 Progress

Rodger,
   Good idea.  I think I have the signal going through on a harmonic
now.  I hear a hiss in the speaker from the signal generator.

Perhaps this is an indication on a problem in the RF stages?  Maybe a
bad switch contact as AM is working.
