Man, talk about thread drift.

It's the explanation for why some of today's radio manuals have such strange 
wording although they have improved imensley over the early ones.  OTOH some 
strange stuff still comes through camera and computer chanels such as 
refering to finger print smears on lenses and film as "hand fat".
