Does anybody know the names of the Engineers who were involved in the
design
of the Sx28.I've read that
Bob Samuelson ,Chief Engineer of Hallicrafters at that time had a hand in
the design of the tuning gear system of the Sx28.They sure designed one
helluva of a rcvr !!!

Nick,

I searched for any living people that might have been around when the SX-28
was being manufactured, but couldn't find any. Have you seen my article about
the SX-28 gearbox? It's on the HCI website. The one guy I could find that had
worked at Hallicrafters just after the war told me the only engineer who
would talk to him was Fritz something. Probably Duane knows who the electrical
engineer was on the SX-28, but I'd be willing to bet that things like the
gearbox were not designed by the electronic folks.

Regards,

Doug Moore
