[Hallicrafters] R-12 speaker

On "that place" within the last 3 months, I saw an RCA
speaker of what appeared to be identical dimensions
and construction to the R-12.  It had an RCA catalog
number beginning with "MI" (master item). Used the
same sizes and types of speakers.  

Apparently Jensen made these same type speakers and
cabinets for more than one customer.  The most
apparent difference between the RCA and Hallicrafters
was, of course, the RCA had no "h" in the round
grille.

This speaker was, I realized, a bit familiar-looking.

A radio station I worked for, while in college, had
about ten of these things scattered around the
nuilding in studios as well as offices.  The building
and site were razed in 2002 to make room for a new
highway interchange, and I know their big beautiful
Gates BC-5B went to the dump with the rubble; but it
was a bit too large for a ham xmtr anyway...sigh... as
if I had room... it had walk-in compartments and was
big enough to use for a small apartment.  I wonder
where the speakers went....
