[Hallicrafters] Light Them Up For Halligan's Hallicrafters Sunday

Tomorrow is Sunday August 20th and time for the Halligan's Hallicrafters 20 
meter Net. Saturday the propagation sucked like an old Hoover with a worn 
thin rubber drive belt that slipped more than a graphite greased Ham on a 
freshly surfaced ice rink!  No matter as we normally have an adequate supply 
of relay stations to hear you and hollar at me.

The pre-Net commences at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC). The Net proper starts at 
1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC).

The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and 
the sound of confused ducks doing touch and dump runs! Just as regular as 
the Timex that takes a kicking and keeps on ticking, the ducks show up every 
day. Now some of the winged creatures has a tiny bit of Iron Ferite in their 
brain that serves as a magnetic compass. They use it to locate magnetic 
North and then use their built-in road atlas to plot their flight path for 
the Winter.

I think these Canadian ducks are a little coordinate confused. It is not 
normal for them to make these practice runs daily for two weeks! I suspect 
that with all the magnetic forces and fields polluting the planet, that 
these poor ducks can't get a bearing due to RFI. Think about all of those 
computer chips in your QTH and each one with its own RF field. The poor 
quackers don't know their beak from their butt, literally! Not to worry 
though! Some animal preservationist will have some Choppers dispatched  and 
each of the ducks snatched out of the air, packed into a special crate with 
central air, small microwave oven, refrigerator keyed to their distinctive 
beak print, special flight/fright harness that keeps the southern end of 
their body positioned over the self-cleaning Laser porta-pot and special 
molded to their skulls stereo headphones so they can listen to the latest 
edition of Field And Stream and the CD with the nature sounds of home.
