[Hallicrafters] Coaxial switch antenna photos

Haven't run anything except using a wattmeter and/or
SWR bridge. Up to 30 MHz the impedance "bump" is no
worse than the switches that I have that were made by
DowKey and B&W. Of course those switches are pretty
much the same type of construction except that they
use female coax connectors and wires from the center
conductor to the switch.

Signal loss is no problem up to 30 MHz. Above 30 MHz
I haven't really checked.

Frankly, above 30 MHz I normally do not use any
switches in the antenna feedlines (except for
change-over relays between the transmitter and
receiver). There are switches that work fine on VHF
and UHF. However, they tend to be somewhat "pricey"!

Have you used anything like a TDR (time domain
reflectometer) to measure the effect of the switch in
the signal path?
