Cigarette rolling paper works well, but you can no longer find it in  
anything but specialty stores. It's been classified as "drug paraphrenalia" or  some 
such dumb thing. Used to work well for patching speaker cones too, but I  have 
had to switch to tea bag paper for that purpose.
