[Hallicrafters] S-38 Series Back and Bottom Material

I recently posted on this. A good source of material for the thin bottom
cover is very easy to obtain and probably for nothing. I found the
cardboard inside the covers of an old 3 ring binder is ideal for the bottom
cover. Just cut open the plastic and pull stiff cardboard out and cut to
shape and install. It is very close to the original material.

The back cover, that is another story. Don't have a source for that.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] S-38 Series Back and Bottom Material

Hello to the List: What material can be used that is close to (or of course
the real thing) the fiberboard like material used in the S38 series for the
back or bottom. Most of the receivers I see are either minus those items or
they are warped. I know there is a source out there for replacement backs,
but I would like to buy the material itself if possible. Also, anyone had
any luck removing the warping and if so, how?
