[Hallicrafters] SR-400A fans

Hi Don:
I have a nice SR-400A, and I can help with your
questions.
1. The fan is just an ordinary 110 VAC muffin fan,
nothing special about it. In fact, mine was a bit
noisier that I'd care for (not defective, just a wee
bit loud), so I replaced it with a $2.00 unit I got at
a local hamfest.
2. I think it blows in, but I'm not 100% on that; I
can check tonight.
3. The fan gets its power from the 2-pin round Jones
socket on the rear of the PS-500A-AC power supply.
4. See #3. The PS had no fan of its own.
5. I'll send you a photo this evening.
73,
Jim
