Craig (and GROUP),

These color paint codes are mixed using PPG Lacquer. Both colors match
excellent to the SX-42 and many other Hallicrafters. The only exception is,
the individule bench mixing the formula may have to experiment with the
exact amount of required flatner to achieve the satin finish.

>>The LID: PPG 3822 (Actual PPG color)
>>The cabinet: PPG 34249 (Actual PPG color)
>>The grille (R-42 Reproducer & same as SX-42 face-plate): PPG DDL 32674***
The *** indicates the color was scanned and slightly tinited from the
original PPG color code.

You may want to request the mixer to perform a "spray-out" card to verify
for proper match. Actually, you may want spray-outs for all these colors
since it is done by humans. This has to be done at an Automotive Paint
Supplier that sells PPG paint. Most of these stores will put your paint in
spray cans for an additional fee.

I hope this helps you and anyone doing a restoration.

Regards & 73,
Steve
