Donkey Hank - noun - (dawn-kee-hanck):  A section of small rope or line;
i.e. "hank" formed in the shape of a double loop.  It is sometimes used to
secure a section of line to a stantion, post, or vertical pipe, and can be
rapidly put about the secure point by virtue of the existing double-loop,
then easily "bent" to form a clove-hitch..  n. American usage
