[Hallicrafters] SX-17 Receiver

Bill,
I have an SX-17 with this dial light, and I have seen three others with 
the same part.  It's a bulb socket installed in the panel with a 
snap-on, metal shade that directs the light down toward the Main Tuning 
dial pointer.  It makes sense, if you want to operate the radio in a 
darkened room, because even with the lighted S Meter and Bandspread 
Dial, you can't read the Main Tuning dial without this light.

It's either a factory add-on, or a wonderful coincidence wherein 
everyone who modified all the SX-16/SX-17 radios I've seen decided to 
buy the identical light.
