Hi gang, haven't been on this list for many
years and I am sure my questions have been asked
a lot.
Repairing a SX-110 for a friend and among other
things the Bandspread dial cord is broken.
Well you say, replace it. I have indeed, about three
times using the directions from the manual. Can someone
tell me how that idler post, approximately half way
between the upper and lower end of the dial scale comes
into the picture. Does the string run on the side
closes to the front panel or behind. It's not even mentioned
in the dial string diagram.

Second question, I have just used up my lifetime
supply of dial cord from GC Electronics. Well it did
last for twenty years.
What do you guys use?
Dacron fishing line should work but, Walmart doesn't carry
it locally. Academy had it in 30 lb, to small and
80 lb to big.

Thanks in advance
Al
