Subject: [Hallicrafters] FOR SALE: SX-101A - POSTING UPDATED

In addition to my listing of 2 days ago, I offer the following:

My basic description for the most part holds. A couple of small exceptions -
for a better choice of words.......

The hinged cover has a 2 x 3 inch light stain - I used a windex type cleaner
only to see if that would remove it and that was it – I left it alone. It looks
like some liquid was placed on it and made the mark. It is not a gummy or
anything messy - just a stain. The hinged cover fastens to main radio as new
from Factory. There is one light scratch on the hinged cover also – very narrow
and again could easily filled in with gray color and hardly be seen.

The flat black frame that goes around the frequency glass has a few small-light
flakes of paint off – such that if we took a black felt tip pen, they would all
but disappear. They are not any kind of gouges into the

metal.

The Notch Depth knob is the knob/lettering that is in rough shape as mentioned
in my posting.

Lettering is basically FB as I said earlier - except on the Power Knob-all the
letters are not in good condx.

The top of the black border around the front that goes to the back - there are
a few normal very light scratches in front up on top - the rest is virtually
nice condition for its age.

Power Cord is xlnt condx.

Back panel is good - All indentifying words/letters are good plus still has
paper

Factory ID stickers attached.

There is no rust.

Tuning Dial Glass face – all excellent

Frequency display – all excellent

Switch contacts are clean

Rubber Feet are very good

All controls/switches such as AVC/Xtal Calibrator/ANL and etc, are in working
condx

Speaker sold separately

The Speaker is a Hallicrafter R-48 in its original cabinet – there are fine
scratches on areas of the cabinet – wiring very solid – still has factory id tag
attached. The Black grill in front with all the holes and Hallicrafter name
plate is in excellent condition.

I wanted to add to my posting - I'm not running the rig down by any means - It
is a beauty and the sensitivity/selectivity plus Audio is just great !! I
merely wanted to be up front with my representation of it and that's hard to do
in a single posting - Hi

All in all it's in good condx for its age ! Really, if it didn't have some of
these small scars, we would wonder where it has been all these years - Hi Hi

I'm not a tech by any means - all the functions I ran it through were good !

This radio is for “Pick Up Only”

Asking $300 SX-101A

               $45 R-48 Speaker

Thanks for reading, 73, Lyle WB0MHH
