A clothes dryer stink paper will do the same thing. Works good on
electric guitar pick guards too.

Boys, this comes right from the US Navy... at least the one I was in.
Take
a very small drop of undiluted dishwashing soap and rub it all over the
meter face OR dial until it's completely covered (remember, I said a
small
drop).  Then, using a t-shirt or similar SOFT cloth, polish until it's
transparent.  I guarantee that you'll have no further trouble with
STATIC
CLING on those pesky plastic surfaces.
