Hi Fern,
The VR mod. is what makes the difference between the HT-33A & HT-33B,
just take a look at the B skem. I have one that's been done that way.
There may have been factory notes on doing it. I'm not sure abt L3, I'll
take a look later to see if I have any info on either item.
Also there's an "approved" mod, maybe factory issued, that removes one
of the swamping resistors at the imput to reduce driving pwr reqmts, if
that's of any interest to you.
