Terry, I'd steer clear of that one, as it's an AC-DC rig (transformerless), 
even though it  is a nice sample of that model.

Perhaps the S-85, the SX-71, or the SX-111 that are also on Ebay (none 
mine) would be better choices (and much better rigs) and certainly less 
likely to try and electrocute the operator!  Would be happy to help you 
"shop" more there, if you're hunting for a good rig.  What's your 
application...ham band only, or general SWL duty?
