[Hallicrafters] SX-101 sub chassis

well due to a bad tube socket i finally had to remove the sub chassis 
in my SX-101......a few notes to share

#1 my radio (SX-101A) had all mica caps in the sub chassis, so there 
is no restoration to be done in there----unless something is broken, 
dont remove


#2 if you note the schematic (K4XL's site has a good one) many of the 
leads are color coded....white, blue, and black....actually a splotch 
of paint at the end of the wire....they do help a lot


#3 I have found that many of the issues found with the sub chassis is 
a bad 12AT7 tube socket....you can get a new socket at any musical 
instrument store.
