Please join us on Saturday October 8th for the HCI
(Hallicrafters Collectors International) forty meter Net.
The pre-Net will commence at 12:30 PM EDT, (1630 UTC) and the
Net proper at 1:00 PM EDT, (1700 UTC). The frequency will be
7.280 MHZ lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and what
some might think sounds like a fifty caliber grease gun
punching propagation path points through the Stratosnimbleist
haze as it lubricates the D region of the Ionosphere! (Bet a
Thompson submachine gun of the thirties, AKA "Grease Gun",
with that .50 caliber cartridge would have more kick than a
Missouri Mule having a bad Hay day to go along with its
spasdic left leg that keeps trying to kick the downsized
horseshoe off and park it in a low Earth orbit!)
Take a brief break and check in and say "Hey!" with that
wonder of yours that still goes glow in the dark! If anybody
complains, blame Frogzilla for authorizing your break! Tell
them to send their formal complaints, grumbling bellyaches
and nasal ingrown hair complaints to:
complaint-compartment at landfill.creamatorium.CA
Hey! Canada ships their garbage to Michigan and fills up our
ponds and woodlands, so we send their postal system all our
complaints by fourth class mail -"Free Matter For The Blind"
and let it sort of 'obstruct' the pipeline, if you catch my
font!
I will have an update as to the status of the currently in
progress QTH "Patch, Plug and Paint" repair project as a
result of the September 22nd thunderstorm cloud that shared
its acid rain with my desk, computer, speaker phone ... Also
a revised release date for the Historic Hallicrafters video
and more - (All irreplaceable and rare material survived with
no damage!)
I hope to hear many of you tomorrow, so punch a hole in those
clouds and bounce that vintage vacuum tube signal at my 'ear
to the ground wave' IAC Super Wave Sucker bazooka antenna! Be
there! Be heard! Be fruitful and multiply, that is, adopt
more homeless, neglected and simply lonesome boat anchors to
save them from a fate worse than a landfill. What? The parts
peddler who strips them to the very core of their naked
chassis and then shamelessly sells their organs. It is our
moral duty to save them, so hit that chubby ceramic oinker
with a five pound sledge and let the games begin!
