Hello to all, I am looking for the service bulletins for the SR-2000. I know that they must exist in that tuning up and repairing several in the recent past revealed two different schematics and a number of added components that do not exist on either. There seems to be at least two series, an older one that is wired by what looked like a professional and a newer one that seems to have been wired rather quickly. The older series has three distinct differences: It does not have the 6.5 MHz trap in the receive antenna line: The meter needle is white and black: The base of the one KHz graticule series is a circular line: And the VFO is rock stable. Also, is anyone has a source of good 8122's please let me know. The 8122's with white ceramic seem to have weather a protracted shelf life better than the others. They all seem to be gassy if they have not been used for a number of years but the white ceramic version is generally cookable. One other change that will help with these oldies is to add a jumper to an additional grid pin. There are three on the tube and only one is wired and if it fails to make, it will snap the power supply overload. Here is a question that begs an answer. How in the devil do you release the adjustable coil slugs that are frozen in place? Kindest regards Jim K9AXN
