[Hallicrafters] SX 42 ac humm

 i have just finished recapping my SX42  all paper caps and electrolytics.
 i noticed before i replaced the electrolytics everytime i tuned into a very 
strong signal i would hear an AC hum . so i replaced all 5 eletrolytics with 
brand new ones from 
Just Radios   . i turned radio back on  and now when i tune into a strong 
signal i hear a nice  hum  the stronger the signal the louder the humm it 
definetly sounds like an AC hum .when i am not on a strong signal radio has no hint 
of any hum clear and quiet . could this be caused from a bad ground because i 
still have radio on bench using a piece of wire for an anntenna .or could it be 
the filter choke ??????.

i have not had radio aligned yet either . any info would be greatly 
appeciated  and thanks for your help .
