Brian, someone recently began offering reproductions of this knob.
Apparently many of the ones out there are chipped up, so you're not
alone. Anyone have the information?

Not sure about this one (it's been a while), is it a plastic or fiber
shaft like the old SP-200 and others used? If so, this is another
'high mortality' part, they sheer off when too much lateral pressure
is applied. Easy to replace with another shaft from a parts donor that
uses the correct diameter shaft. If it's an all-metal design like a
volume control, replacement of the entire control is the easier route.
