The delay period got longer and longer over about ½ hour, and now I have no signal at all in "upper position". Everything else is fine. Don't think it's the switch because it occurs with both the product and diode detectors. Probably an easy fix but thought I'd ask if anyone has run into this before?

Sounds like a crystal problem I had in one of mine. Crystal became
more and more reluctant to oscillate, and eventually required a slight
tuning of the slug to get it going again. Seems to me this was also an
issue for others besides myself. IIRC, it required loosening up the
little box where the crystal resides to allow access. I left it that
way until I could secure the require round tuit needed to effect a
repair.
