Ummm! OK, then following that logic, today is the annual American and
International Mixed Mode day (AIMM) where all AM'ers switch to FM. So, you
will need to perform the tried and true "Slope Detection" method.

Actually -- apparently unbeknownst to Bill -- his SX-117 is acting
perfectly normally. Today is the Australian Amateur Radio Society's
annual "hemisphere inversion" (HI) day in which HF operators swap their
normal sideband transmissions. So, until midnight UTC, all the low HF
guys are on USB and all the high HF fellows are on LSB. I'll be on AM
in order to avoid confusion.
