Bill,

Mine exhibited the same behavior when I got it.  Alignment has improved 
it considerably, but since I don't have a signal generator that will go 
down to 50.75 kc, I had to use a "field expedient" method posted on 
"Boatanchors at theporch" several years ago.  It's much better now, but not 
entirely as it should be.  I still feel that a good alignment with the 
proper equipment would make it right.

I've decided to stop obsessing about it.  If I don't do things I'm not 
supposed to do, like trying to get LSB signals in USB, it works fine.
