[Hallicrafters] Knob Insert Removal

Try using a large metal dowel 1/2" upwards  with a nice clean face on the end 
and "super glue" it to the aluminium insert.
Once you remove the insert dissolve the super glue by soaking it in acetone or 
similar solvent.
