[Hallicrafters] Knob Insert Removal

There are several methods that work to remove the old knob inlay. Use
whatever is best for you. I use a dull knife or sharp screwdriver to pry up
an edge and then use needle nose pliers to pull it out. This works fine for
the Bakelite knobs. On the softer plastic knobs, it may be more advisable
to gouge up the center on the inlay enough to get a grip to pull it off. I
have also heard of applying heat from a heat gun to soften the original
glue, but I would caution against applying too much heat to the softer Heath
and newer Hallicrafters knobs.
