Mine had a similar issue when I first got it, never quite figured out
the reasoning or band correlation, but cleaning the bandswitch and
tube sockets with DeOxit then burning it in for a while did the trick.
Always wondered if it was just a bad connection on a tube pin used by
only these bands, but never looked further once it straightened out.
