Richard, I can’t recall if I replied to your question about how to clean a chassis, so here is a shot.
Lately, I have been doing it this way: get the cabinet off, set the chassis on an angle, get a dry unused 1/2 inch household paint brush and an old tooth brush, along with a cup of water with a bit of dishwater detergent in it. I take a wet brush in one hand and my blowpipe from my little 1 hp Sears air compressor, then a) wet scrub upstream or uphill, then b) blow in a downhill direction (working toward a dirty edge. The idea is to loosen the gunk enuf for the air to blow away both loose gunk and water. This is the best technique I have found so far.
