Saturday we were on 7.280, had a nice group. Not sure where you were listening.
Today we were on 14.292 MHZ usb and we were bombarded by European DX stations,
most notably EI05CCC in Ireland. He was just below our frequency. Very strong
and made copy difficult for myself and the relay stations.
Between the people who seem to tune up their rigs, but never talk, operate 25 Hz
away with CW and the European DX stations, it was really rough today. We still
managed to get quite a few stations logged through the racket, but based on the
electronic stack of e-mail sitting on my virtual desk, I think it is only going
to come out 'fair' if we do it next Sunday too. There were over eighty stations
that did not make it through the racket that I am aware of. Hopefully there will
'not' be any contests of a threatening nature to us next Sunday!
So mark it on your calendar and let's get those that we missed today logged in
on Sunday April 3rd! Which by the way, is the day we go on DST (Daylight Savings
Time)! However, the HCI Net will still begin at 1:15 PM on your clock, pre-Net
at 12:45 PM.
Thanks to all for participating today, or at least trying to do so.
