You are absolutely correct. I too have been observing an upswing in activity
since the first of this year.	
	
One item that is important. The filters are failing that people are setting.
Including mine! I had PayPal filtered out, but it has come through the past two
days. it seems those who are sending this stuff are also altering the data so as
to thwart the standard filters people are setting to trap and trash them. So
compare the new data against that in your filters and make the necessary
changes.

These bogus paypal and ebay scammers seem to have escalated their
activity over the last several months. I have a kept a set of folders for
both. As of this afternoon, I have saved 176 bogus ebay scams and 192
bogus paypal scams, all to update my account info. You can pass along the
scam info to both ebay and paypal, but both organizations are well aware
of the activity. It's always interesting to review the e-mail header info
to see where they are coming from. I guess I have too much time on my
hands.
