My comments are along the lines that Mark K9TR posted.
Tubes may work fine even when they test in the yellow or red; it depends
upon the application. When I find tubes that are in the yellow (actually
low yellow) or red, I procure a replacement at the next fester, and replace
the weak tube. However, I put the weak tube in my 'weak tube box' as it
still may be usefull in the future. Remember that tubes are analog, not
digital, and die an analog death, not a typical digital death -- in
otherwards, they degrade over time.
BTW, a "weak tube box" is very useful. They're good when you get a new
radio in and has missing tubes or low red tubes. You may be able to use
them for initial diagnosis and repair until you can get to the next fester.
