You mean that guy in Florida named Ken Simpson, W8EK, who is selling stuff today
on the 'forsale-swap' list? Yep! You got it! This 'new in the box' antenna was
the baby though, it was only twelve years old, the other one was eighteen!	
	
No sign of sections slipping down, no broken or cracked black plastic coil
covers (as high up as they could get with the tall ladder), no coax failure or
connection damage, nothing obvious.	
	
I checked it on ten and fifteen meters, and it is fine. I think the trap went on
twenty, which takes out forty and eighty meters too. It is about twenty years
old, so not sure it is worthwhile to pay somebody to take her down, fix it and
put it back up again. Probably best to just buy a 'new' one from New-Tronics or
one from AES with a manufacturing date!
