Hello all.
About a year ago I pruchased a Hallicrafters HT-45 (AKA Loundenboomer) amplifier and matching power supply. For those of you unfamilar, these are really heavy items.
To insure their safe arrival here in St. Louis, I "Packed" my butt in my car and drove to Chatanooga to go get it. I then packed it carefully in the car, and drove back.
That's the best way I know to insure safe delivery. A side benefit is that you get to meet the seller and enjoy an eyeball QSO as well. In fact, you may be able to work in a side trip for a Hamfest along they way. I did, and found even more goodies to pack back home with me.
Now, if I only had a bigger car, or better yet, does anyone have an 18 wheeler they don't need?
