Most automotive paint stores and consumer paint stores can computer match 
the cabinet color.
Bring in the cover and have them scan the underside which has not been 
exposed to light ...
It will be the closest to the original color.

The last Hallicrafters radio I restored (S-20R) was useing paint from Mike 
Shelton in NC.From what I have searched,he has vanished.

This S-40 was $8 -a mess- at local fleamarket.I figured I would restore it & 
give it a good home.

What color green (gloss or satin) comes close at local hardware or Wal-mart?

Anyone have a decent extra main tuneing dial for sale?

Another Hallicrafters spared from the junk-pile.
Capacitors & tubes are ordered, so another
radio soon to hit the airways.Just hope no surprises.
