Hi DW,
    They are not standard, open it up & see what they're connected to.
There are normaly 2 screw terminals on the back of the R-42, sometimes in
2 seprate holes, sometimes the 2 in an oval elongated hole thru the back
panel, for a 500 or 600 ohm rcvr output.

Hello,

I recently aquired an R-42 reproducer. It works great and looks so-so. My
question to the group is, on the back on either side of the speaker
terminals are two jacks that look like speaker jacks. They look like
original equipment. However, I have never seen a speaker with headphone
jacks on the back. Any information would be great.
