Check out this site. http://www.radiodaze.com/

They have reproduction SX-101A glass dials and are very high quality and
will be available the end of this month. Purchase of one of these will keep
you from destroying another radio.

Good luck with your project.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] Dial printing for SX-101 series

I currently have several 101s apart for cleaning and evaluation. I'll
probably fix up the best one or two and use the rest for parts, or
experimenting.

I noted the dial back (the scale is on the back of the glass) appears to be
a decal. Said decal is coming loose in a few spots that look like they may
have been wrinkles in the application. Now being thouroughly dry they are
extremely fragile.

I'm assuming these were decals, but don't know for sure. Does any one know
just what these are and how they were applied? Is there a source for them
without having to canabilize another receiver?

I have a straight 101 that looks good, a 101A that looks pretty good, and a
101 with a scale that looks pretty bad and is falling off the glass in
places.
