[Hallicrafters] Mica (postage stamp) capacitors

After collecting used, for what reason I don't know, postage stamp mica
capacitors, I sat down this morning and done leakage tests on every one of
them (3000 approx).
I noticed that most of the red colored caps, passed the test. Almost all of
the dark brown ones failed and this included some NOS ones as well. Also the
gray colored ones were very leaky. I did notice that "Sprague" had the
highest fail rate and the "Western Electric" had the lowest. This is
probably useless info but mite be of interest to some of you.
I know, from now on, EVERY dark brown, Sprague is into the trash can with no
second thought.
