[Hallicrafters] Unexpected Testing Events and Cool Stuff

Back in the 60's when there was a lot of AM on 6 meters but not a lot of
SSB I tapped the 10 Mhz (or there-a-bouts) IF on my SW-250 SSB
transceiver and used it to feed an AM shortwave receiver always tuned to
the IF frequency. So I'd turn up the volume on the SW-250 to hear SSB
and listen to the "outboard" receiver to hear the AM stations. I used a
set of aux contacts on the Swan to kill the receive audio on transmit.
The Swan AM position was too narrow for good listening.

It actually worked very well.

So, you could use the 756pro as a "front end" for the S-38E!
