[Hallicrafters] SX-101 Problem

Ken and all,
I think my transformer is ok. I switched to a digital multi-meter and
voltages look about right. I was either reading my vtvm wrong or the
probe is shot.

Any how, I am getting just about the right volts on all three
secondaries. It's looking like my problem is around V2 and V3 ... I have
0 grid voltage (calls for -2.3vdc) on pin 1 of V2 (mixer) and 0 volts
(calls for -12vdc) on pin 2 of V3 (1st conv osc/cathode follower)
Per suggestions of group, I have checked resistances around V1, V2 and
V3 and so far they look within tolerance.

Two other symptoms are present
S meter sets at left side after rig is turned on and during first few
min of warm up it jumps to pinned and back several times then stays at
pinned to right side.
Also notice when flipping receive/standby switch back to receive, a
rapid crackling noise occurs and stays through several changes. Switch
is riveted together so I have removed it and trying some de-oxit to see
if that helps. this switch appears to be in the circuit with the
"sensitivity" Pot.

Thanks fer all the help from the group, I am still plugging along
(rather slowly)

Bob, KG4NVX
