[Hallicrafters] SX-17 - prepare to live again

Thanks for the encouragement.... It's less-than-perfect, but everything's there, even has ALL of the original knobs, missing the dial pointer (but that doesn't look like a biggie), and some complete and total idiot (who doesn't know his parentage) drilled 2 holes at the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock position to install lamp-sockets for a couple of No. 47's.  the speaker is intact (even has the Hallicrafters sticker on the back of it), and the plywood circle-around-the-h needs a little filler, but otherwise just splendid... Oh yeah, needs new dial cord, but I have some.  As soon as I clear the bench from a UPS I'm redoing for a buddy, it's going up there with the Variac.

I found a schematic & such on Nostalgia Air, but am not sure if it's an Early, Late, or 1939 edition... what are the clues to be able to tell?
