Fellas, Thanks for the input on the SX-101.
First off, I have rechecked using a different meter (digital) and
readings are more realistic from the power supply.
Filaments are reading 5.5 vac all the way around ( Calls for 6.3)
Plate supply is good too at 280 vac per side of center tap 560 vac total
checked going into the rectifier.(Calls for 290/580)
Grid voltage is 5 vac going into rectifier. (calls for 5vac)
Hopefully the transformer is good, whew!!
Dial lamps are getting 5.7 vac at the lamp. They do not change at any
time from turning on or even changing from single band to all bands lit.
I guess they are just dim.
V3 12AU7A 1st Conv. Osc./ Cathode follower All ok except Pin 2 grid chks
0 vdc (calls for -12V) and Pin 7 grid chks -2V (calls for -4V)
V2 6BY6 Mixer all reasonable except chks no grid voltage on pin 1
(calls for - 2.3)
V1 6CB6 RF Amp chks fairly close except grid Pin 2 chks 2.4 calls for
1.6 and grid Pin 7 chks 2.4 calls for 1.6
Any thoughts?
What should I check next??
