It has been about 30 years since I have owned an
HT-37. However, I have found in various pieces of
equipment that over the time of production that many
had a progression from paper type capacitors to disc
ceramic. The earliest versions often had almost all
paper types, then a mixture of paper and ceramic disc,
and finally almost all, if not all, disc ceramic.

After just looking into the bottom of the HT37 I
couldn't find a Black Beauty cap anywhere....all I
could see besides the electrolytics (which I am going
to replace) were Erie type disc capacitors.
Were there originally any Black Beauty caps in the HT37?
