give thanks for the present and pray there is a tomorrow. Independence Day is
differnt things to different people, but to we Hams, it is time to light up the
grill and make those wonders that still go glow in the dark shine with all the
brilliance that came together to make this land, our land from sea to sparkling
sea and keep it our land for as long as there are men and women who believe that
freedom often comes with the highest possible human price, our very lives,
fighting and dying to remain bearers of the lit torch of the freedom to choose
our destiny. For a day without independence the only freedom from slavery and
repression is death without hope for future freedom.
