[Hallicrafters] HT-32 Front Panel Markings

I just received a replacement panel for my HT-32 rebuild and noticed
something weird with the panel markings on both panels.  Unlike every other
transmitter I own, ICOM, Yaesu, Kenwood etc. only the HT-32 panel has the
mic connector labeled "MIKE" - a persons first name!  I have never seen this
before and was astounded.  Was this an error when these panels were made?
