[Hallicrafters] R-42: Finished project photos

I have for viewing 24 before and after pics of my R-42 project: refinished. It was done in black to match the black/silver on the SX-42 that was also sandblasted and powder coated. The rust did cause some problems for the painter, but not so bad. 
Also included is a pic of the new labels I had made up for this unit**. I actually used words from another set which are white letters(ie 'Communications, High Fidelity') on a clear background. In so doing the much lighter green 'dots' before each word did not show up so they were removed. ALL WORDS ARE ON VINYL and the printer gave me the same tape they use to place over the ones you want to attach first. This tape removes the words from the clear backing, then once you located the exact area they are to be placed, one uses pressure to affix the words to the position.  I am still going to contact other parties for coats estimates on providing labels similar to those decals used on model airplaines etc. More on that later.
